This smock came from the uniform prop collection of the famous movie Saving Private Ryan. I picked it up from CRC Props Hollywood downsizing auction. The description read: “Reversible Waffen SS smock in palms and clumps pattern. Made for Saving Private Ryan, in size XL for scenes shot in attack of town Ramel. Made by SM Wholesale(1 pcs). Featured in SAVING PRIVATE RYAN (1998) Location: Row 2, Item #14”
Although it doesn’t look to have been used in the film because of its near mint condition. It has a tag dated 12-9-96 and is a long discontinued colorway with hand stitched cord holes, something I dint know they ever did.
