This knife was produced sometime in 1933-34 as part of the first runs of HJ knifes developed. Carl Wüsthof Solingen Gladiatorwerk is said to be a rare maker.
“Blut und Ehre!” motto remains visible one the blade. On the reverse below the Carl Wüsthof Solingen Gladiatorwerk maker mark is a Ges. Geschützt patent mark. The leather belt hanger is supple and in great condition with a “LFS” with oak leaf press stamped into the back. Although it is missing the retaining strap and snap (Often removed on purpose) The scabbard still retains the blade nicely. The pommel has the initials H.F. stamped into it.
Overall, this is the best First model HJ knife you will find for half the price of one with its finish intact.
