featured several improvements.
It was made of ballistic nylon with a waterproof vinyl plastic casing.
The vest included a zipper or Velcro closure and a three-quarter collar for added neck protection.
Despite being more comfortable than the M-1952A , it was still often worn unzipped by soldiers trying to stay cool.
