WW2 US Army M-1938 Mackinaw "Jeep" Coat Size 38, 1942 Dated
This jacket design was introduced to replace the earlier M1938 mackinaw, which was made from duck cotton and had a wool blanket lining on the collar. The new version was crafted from poplin cotton, making it easier to wear, and the blanket lining was removed. It was later succeeded by the M1943 pattern with a notched collar, and all mackinaws were phased out in 1945 in favor of the M43.
23” across chest.
16” sleeves.
33.5” length.
