WW2 Heer Army Administration Officer Visor Cap "Schirmmutze"
Nice crusher shape. Bullion cockade and wreath sewn under standard silvered aluminum eagle, eagle looks to be a period replacement as you can see a shadow of where the original eagle to the cap once was. Heer army feldgrau green gray wool with a forest green band and a traditional high peak. The dark green Waffenfarbe piping signifying the wearer as Militärverwaltung (Military administration) along the top edge and bordering either side of the band. A very rare mint green bottomed vulcanfiber bill. The black sweatband made of a loosely woven cloth coated in what looks like black rubberizing to simulate leather, it is still soft and flexible shows some ware but no tare. Celluloid sweat diamond is missing but the words Deutsche Wertarbeit “German workmanship” and a silhouette of a visor cap can be seen in the diamond.
